He is survived by: his wife Berniece Manning-Gilchrist of Fairmont, NC; his children, Terry Lamont Gilchrist of Lumberton, NC and Parenthia Gilchrist of Fairmont, NC; his grandchildren, Quandiva Terryne McLean (DaQuan) of Lumberton, NC, Kalun Jaè Gilchrist of Gastonia, NC and AhNeillyah GemElle Gilchrist of Fairmont, NC.; and his siblings, Margaret Lynch (Charlie) of Greensboro, NC and Rev. Jimmy Gilchrist (Carolyn) of Lumberton, NC..
Viewing was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Worley Mortuary & Cremation Service (200 Sandy St, Fairmont, NC 28340). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (301 N Main St, Fairmont, NC 28340).
