He was predeceased by: his father Cleveland Walters (Walters); his grandmother Mattie Mae Moody; his son Anthony "PeeWee" Oxendine; his brother Vernon Moody; his granddaughter Sa'Nya Oxendine; and his close friend Wendy Lee Oxendine.
He is survived by: his mother Ollie Alice Walters; his children, Shawn Oxendine of Raeford, NC, Patrick Oxendine (Felicia) of Lumberton, NC, Alex Oxendine (Samantha) of Dillon, S. C., Allen Daryl Oxendine (April) of Pembroke, NC, Belinda Johnson of Lumberton, NC, April Oxendine of Charlotte, NC and Derieke Oxendine of Winston Salem, NC; his siblings, Stanley Moody (Carolyn) of Fairmont, NC, Rodney Moody of Columbia, SC, Loretta Moody, Ann Moody of Fairmont, NC, Rhonda Winborn (Darius) of Charlotte, NC, Maria McCollum of Virginia Beach, VA and Debra Addison of Lumberton, NC; his aunt Mattie Lee White; his uncles, Bobby Walters of Fairmont, NC., Ronald Walters of Fairmont, NC. and Jim Walters of Fairmont, NC.; his cousins, Gregory Coleman and Morris White; and his close friends, Joyce Hunt, Wayne McCormick Jeffery Jones and Marcus Emanuel. He is also survived by Twenty-Two grand children and seven great grand children.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St John AME Church (700 Leesville St, Fairmont, NC 28340). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at the Fairmont Cemetery.
