It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darnell Oxendine of Fairmont, North Carolina, who passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Carson Oxendine; and his brother Henry Allen "Bunker" Oxendine. He is survived by: his sons, Donovan Oxendine (Kyndra) of Chesapeake, VA. and Kyle Oxendine of Rowland, NC; his mother Emma "Mammy" Oxendine of Fairmont, NC; his close friend Rosina Hunt of Fairmont, NC; his siblings, Ray Carson Oxendine of Fairmont, NC, Eugene Oxendine (Maria) of Conway, SC, Susan Locklear (Rudolph) of Rowland, NC, Sue Sanderson (Michael) of Fairmont, NC and Betty Locklear (Glenn) of Lumberton, NC; and his grandchildren, Kyla, Meleny, Haisley, Kennon and Kameron Oxendine. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
