He was predeceased by: his parents, Faye LaRue Matheson Whittemore and George Settle Whittemore of Fayetteville; and his brother George Settle Whittemore of Rocky Mount, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Whittemore; his children, April Whittemore Locklear of Fairmont and John Settle Whittemore (Laura Rose) of Fayetteville, NC; his adoptive daughters, Lynette Killsback of Pine Ridge, Isabel Rosero of Grafenwohr and Reah Jacobs of Buckhead, NC; his brothers-in-law, Victor L. Hunt (Cynthia) of Ohio, David A. Hunt (Rene) of Fairmont and Mike Henry Chuchacz (Michelle) of Parkton; his grandchildren, Laettner Keanu Locklear, Parker Cove Lewis Whittemore, SunnyDae Locklear and BluFern Rivers Whittemore; and his nephews, George Settle Whittemore, John Robert Whittemore of Fort Mill, SC, Derek Whittemore of Roxboro, NC and Michael Colby Chuchacz. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
