With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carrie Mae Hunt of Fairmont, North Carolina, who passed away on November 2, 2021 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Bowman Huggins and Rose Ann Huggins; her husband James Luther "Duke" Hunt; and her sister Esterline Huggins. She is survived by: her children, James Earl Hunt (Amanda) of Fairmont, NC, Christopher Hunt (Kayla) of Lumberton, Tawanda Huggins Lucero of Lumberton, NC and Brittany Summerford (Joshua) of Fairmont, NC; her siblings, Emma Jean Huggins Locklear, Lillie Jean Hunt, Earlene Hunt, Linda Hunt, Donnie Herring, Earl Huggins and Laura Ann Liles; and her close friends, Rhoda Locklear, Felisha Bullard, Danny and Shelia Fowler. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
