He is survived by: his wife Maxine Locklear Demery; his children, Michael Demery (Delores), Richard Demery, Jackie Oxendine, Loria Huggins, Mitchell Hunt (Ann Marie), Derrick Hunt (Sherry), Jeffrey Hunt (Leslie), Chris Hunt (Becky), Tonia Lindsey (Pop) and Adam Hunt; his siblings, Cedric Demery (Linda), Carl D. Demery (Brenda Joyce), Ethel D. Chavis and Pat D. Freeman; his close friend Chester Hunt; and his pet Spence. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
