He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxcey Dalton Small and Lillian Davis Small; and his wife Ruth Cribbs Small. He is survived by: his children, David Small (Sandra) and Jerri S. Vaughan of Lexington; his grandchildren, Andrea Altman (Terry), Franklin Vaughan of Lexington and Hampton Vaughan of Lexington; his great grandchild Megan Hollembaek of Denver; and his close friend Dr. Thelma Mitchell.
