She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Simmons and Lottie Simmons; her husband Ralph Strickland; and her sons, Bryan, Jesse and Mike.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Brown of Cerro Gordo, NC. and Alison Rouse (Dennis) of Cerro Gordo, NC.; and her sister Irene Daniel of Beaverdam, NC.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, 4 great-great- grandchildren.
