It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Hammond (Fair Bluff, North Carolina), born in Marion, South Carolina, who passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Brown and Mattie Collins Brown; her husband Thelbert Hammond; and her sisters, Jean Powers, June Wilkes and Ethel Hammond.
She is survived by: her brother-in-law Ed Powers. She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
