He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Bullock Shepherd. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Shepherd of Fair Bluff, NC; his son James Jai Shepherd (Calista) of Chadbourn, NC; and his stepsons, Ronald and Derrick Elliott. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
