She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Bartley Vance and Thomas David Vance; her husband Garlen Cole; and her brothers, Tom, Bill, Jack and Bud Vance.
She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Sides (David) of Cheraw, SC, Les Cole (Joyce Floyd) of Nichols, SC and Gregg Cole (Renee) of Cerro Gordo, NC; and her grandsons, Bartley Sides (Katy), Davidson Sides (Leann) and Joshua Cole (Kalli). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
