He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Pait and Edith Hobbs Pait; his wife Ellen Nance Pait; and his siblings, Bud Pait, Nina Lou Pait Watts and Mary Eliza Pait.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Paul Pait (Sylvia) of Evergreen and Edie Ora Pait of Whiteville; his grandchildren, Mandy Norris, Paula Thompson, Jeremy Croft (Angel) and Emily Cantrelle (Andrew); and his great grandchildren, Brisson Norris, Madison Thompson, Liam Cantrelle and Peyton Cantrelle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Gentiva Hospice at 301 Liberty St Ste 200, Whiteville, NC 28472.
