She is survived by: her son Walter Lee Smith Jr.; her daughter-in-law Kim Smith; her grandchildren, Walter Mclendon, Christopher Smith, Crystal Smith, Shakayla Smith and Jeremiah Smith; and her siblings, Junior Gowens (New York) and Leslie Costin of Fayetteville, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
