He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Thompson and Clara Mae Davis Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Jean T. Thompson; his children, Christy T. Bunnell (Steven) of Bladenboro, Jackie T. Strickland (Ronnie) of Evergreen and Tracey S. Thompson (Joey) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sisters, Patricia T. Edge (Wayne) of White Oak and Bonnie G. Thompson of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Gretta, Fallon, Aubree, Drew and Kylie; and his great grandchild Alex.
