It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Pope (Evergreen, North Carolina), who passed away on October 20, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Rouse Dawson and Joseph Benjamin Dawson; her son-in-law William Pat Gurley; and her brothers, Linwood Dawson, Farrell Dawson (Sandra) and Shelton Dawson (Minnie).
She is survived by: her children, Eugene Pope, Jackie Pope (Tish Byerly) of Goldsboro and Laura Gurley of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Kelli Gurley Hamm (Michael) and William Chad Gurley (Jessica); and her great grandchildren, Miles Hamm, Caroline Hamm, Reagan Gurley and Gray Gurley. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
