With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Corbett Fields Sr. of Evergreen, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 24, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Taft Fields and Lois Loretta Inman Fields; and his siblings, Claudette Fields Blackwell, Polly Fields Welshans and Joe Thad Fields.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Godwin Fields; his children, Ann Wray Ramey, William Corbett Fields, Jr. and Frances Taylor Fields; his grandchildren, Patrick Corey Fields, Jacob Ramey, Kayla Ramey and Clair Fields; his great grandchildren, Inman, Douglas and Jackson Fields; and his sisters, Amelia Fields Leggett and Betsy C. Smith.
Corbett and Peggy Fields are members of Antioch Church and donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to Antioch Baptist Church, 5089 Old Whiteville Road, Lumberton, NC 28358, in memory of Corbett Fields.
