He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Edmondson and Mamie Edmondson of Spring Green. He is survived by: his wife Kay Mizelle Edmondson; his children, Rhonda (James), Allan (Heather) and Emily (Mike); his grandchildren, L. J. (Crystal), Josh (Heather), Graceanne, Clay, Madelyn and Meredyth; and his great grandchildren, Lauren, Adrain, Carter and Ella.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Wesleyan Pentecostal Church of Washington building fund. 7656 Hwy. 264 East, Washington, NC 27889.
