He is survived by: his wife Kay Hicks; his stepchildren, Terry Strickland of Everetts and Tonya Strickland of Everetts; his sister Denise Madison of Raleigh; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Hardison of Williamston, Shirley Hurst of Everetts and Wayne Reason of Everetts. He is also survived by one niece and two nephews.
