It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nell Powell Long of Eure, North Carolina, born in Gates, North Carolina, who passed away on March 20, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph S. "Trixie" Long; her close friend Gene Webb White; her grandson Justin Long; and her siblings, Ollie Brown, Ellen Carroll, George McCoy, William Roland, James Randolph "Pete", Lonnie Henry, Sam and Thomas Madison Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Morris (Rufus) of Aulander, Rose Hudgins (Wayne), Johnny Long (Amy) of Eure, Mike Long (Anne) of Eure and Steve Long (Joan) of Eure; and her brothers, Mack of Eure and Frank Powell of Eure. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
