With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Ferrell Horton (Eure, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2025 at the age of 104. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Margaret Ferrell leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Margaret Ferrell may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles E. Ferrell and Bessie Castelow Ferrell; her husband Nathan Edward Horton; her son Bruce Edward Horton; and her siblings, Juanita Onley and Edwin White.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Elaine Halfacre of Fort Smith and Nancy Lynn Wilkinson of Virginia Beach; and her grandchildren, Brittany Lynn Landrey (Davon) of Virginia Beach and Rickey Halfacre of Fort Smith.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Cool Spring Baptist Church (1460 NC-137, Eure, NC 27935). A reception will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 12:30 PM.
