He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Sterling "Trixie" and Nell Powell Long; his son Justin T. Long; his wife Amy Vick-Long; his sons, Jody P. Long (Melanie) of Eure, Jason K. Long (Christie) of Eure and Adam S. Long (Brittany) of Eure; his siblings, Katherine L. Morris (Rufus) of Ahoskie, Rose L. Hudgins (Wayne), Michael T. Long (Anne) of Eure and Steve L. Long (Joan) of Eure; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Cody, Liam, Berkley, Tyler and Trent.
He is survived by: his pets, Avon and Miss Cleo.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cool Spring Baptist Church (1460 NC-137, Eure, NC 27935). A reception will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Social Hall.
