We are sad to announce that on September 12, 2018, at the age of 88, Darden Askew (Eure, North Carolina), born in Gates, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent John Irvin; and his siblings, Mary Frances Askew, Cross Askew, Glenn Askew and Floyd Askew.
He is survived by: his parent Nellie Mary Askew; his wife Lettie Howell Askew; his sons, Steven Askew (Gloria) of Eure and Wade Askew (Ann) of Eure; his sisters, Katie Stallings (Leslie) of Suffolk, VA and Gladys Greene of Suffolk, VA; his sisters-in-law, Lillie Rae Askew and Opal Askew; his granddaughters, Melissa White (Paul) and Stephanie Boyce (Wade); and his great grandchildren, Rylan White, Lacey White, Molly White and Sammy White.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to either Eure Christian Church, Eure Baptist Church, or to the Eure Volunteer Fire Department.
