He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Lowry and Mary Rankin Lowry; his wife Nancy D. Lowry; and his brother Richard A. Lowry. He is survived by: his children, Linda Scott (James) of Snellville, GA, Carol Lowry of Dacula, GA and Douglas Lowry (Lisa) of Zionsville, PA; his grandchildren, Lauren Van Horn (Ryan), Cheryl Scott, Susan Williams (Joshua), Stephanie Scott, Kelly Lasseter (Bennett), Matthew Scott (Lydia), Alyssa Lowry, Joseph Lowry and Alex Lowry; his great grandchildren, Kyla Van Horn, Amelia Van Horn, Emerson Williams, Evan Williams, Makynzie Lowry and Eoin Scott; and his close friend Garlyn O'Leary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Etowah Horse Shoe Fire and Rescue, Etowah Valley Humane Society, and a charity of your choice.
