He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay William Edwards and Mary Goodson Edwards; and his siblings, Doris Justus, Diane Sumner, Gerald, Mike and Jackie Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Maybelle McCall Edwards; his sons, Kevin Edwards of South Korea and Mark Edwards Potter of Maryland; and his sisters, Carolyn Owenby and Pecolia Edwards of Pisgah Forest. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
