He is survived by: his wife Marie Parson; his son Ricky Parson of Dunn; his grandchildren, Brandon Parson (Tiffanie) of Erwin and Nicki Tart (Jeremy) of Coats; his great grandchildren, Sophia Parson (Anthony) of Coats, Michael Parson of Dunn, Addison Tart of Coats and Blake Tart of Coats; and his sisters, Janice Lee of Leland and Adell Britt of Rocky Mount. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
