He was predeceased by: his father J. Sherril Johnson; and his brother Charles "Chip" Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Johnson of Erwin; his brother Richard Johnson of Clayton; his brother-in-law Howard Babb of Ft. Mill, SC; and his nieces and nephews, Alicia Heath (Ty), Brent, Bryan Babb, Adrian, Sylvia and Evelyn Heath.
