We are sad to announce that on April 27, 2023, at the age of 90, Virginia McLamb Core of Erwin, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Eldridge McLamb and Matha Young McLamb of Erwin; her husband Stephen "David" Core; and her siblings, Reuben McLamb, Bertha Barbour Ryals, Beulah Turnage Frank, Irene Strickland and Josephine Faircloth.
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Matthews (Kevin) of Parkton and Dava Wiggs (Gerald) of Selma; her grandchildren, Melissa McLamb of Dunn, Sgt. Stephen McLamb (Sarah) of Owensboro, KY and Kristie McLamb Sellers (AJ) of Rowland; and her great grandchildren, Logan McLamb, Luke McLamb, Landen McLamb, Jaclyne Ashton, Davison Stone and Jamie Sellers. She is also survived by Mema as she was known to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
