She is survived by: her husband John Roy Roberts Jr.; her children, Jody Simmons of Dunn, Lori Royal (Jerry) of Erwin and Wendy Martinez of Fayetteville; her sister Barbara Messer of Raleigh; her sister-in-law Shirley Whitman of Smithfield; her grandchildren, Emily, Trevor, Jordan Simmons, Kayla, Yelena, Avan Martinez and Austin Royal; and her great grandchildren, Camden, Avah and Mason Simmons.
