He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anna Roberta Davis and Richard Sterling Kelly; his wife Ella Margaret Moffitt (Peggy); his siblings, Dr. Richard Sterling Kelly, Jr. (Rosalie Huske) of Fayetteville, NC and Janet Kelly Bryan (Bob) of Dunn, NC.; his children, Stuart Kelly Davis (Ron) of Erwin, NC, Gaither Kelly Velker (Steve) of Smithfield, NC and Robert Harris Kelly, Jr. (Pamela Bath) of Dunn, NC.; his grandchildren, Margaret Alston Davis of Raleigh, Spencer Harrison Davis of Winston Salem, Mary Thorburn Davis of Wilmington, Sarah Gaither Fleming of Smithfield, John Dixon Fleming, III (Claira) of Raleigh, Elizabeth Fleming Dunigan (Josh) of Fayetteville, Robert Harris Kelly III (Samantha) of Washington, NC, Catherine Bergstrand Kelly of Raleigh and William Rhodes Kelly (Heather Thomas) of Washington, NC.; and his great grandchildren, John Dixon Fleming, IV (Jack), Cameron Sailer Fleming of Raleigh and Robert Harris Kelly IV (Beau) of Washington, NC.. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Erwin Lion's Club.
