Mattie Pope Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mattie Pope of Erwin, North Carolina, who passed away on January 11, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mattie Pope to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everette Whitman and Lula Whitman (William "Pete" Pope); her daughter Patsy Jackson; her granddaughters, Dana and Katina Jones; and her great grandchild David Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Pope (Carolyn) of Erwin, Rev. Jerome Pope (Ann) of Dunn and Becky Hamilton (Donnie) of Dunn; her sisters, Grace Nance (Tommy), Carolyn Willett and Jo-Ann Reiber; and her niece Shirley Pate. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
