He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Coats and Dora Elese Strickland Coats. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Watson Coats of Dunn, NC.; his children, Patricia Lynn Roberts, Kenneth Coats and Sean Coats; and his sister Judy Ziegler. He is also survived by Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
