He was predeceased by: his father Norman Devon McDonald; and his brother Mark McDonald. He is survived by: his mother Drucilla McDonald of Erwin; his wife Edith Jakeman McDonald; his daughters, Skye McDonald of Coats, Jenna McDonald of Erwin and Sarah McDonald of Erwin; his grandchildren, Killian, Arya, Samuel, Kain, Nora and Connor; and his sister Samantha M. Thomas of Lillington.
