He was predeceased by: his parents, John Otis and Shirley Ann Godwin. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Godwin; his sons, Brian Ashley Godwin (Elizabeth) and Daniel Shane Godwin (Candace) of Lillington; his grandchildren, Ethan, Abigail and Samantha; and his siblings, Paul Godwin (Lynne) of Erwin, Staffon Godwin of Erwin, Anne Ennis (Phil) of Dunn, Wanda Langdon (Doug) of Benson and Tina Johnson (Jay) of Erwin.
