It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Avery of Erwin, North Carolina, who passed away on January 5, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Avery and Katie Lee "Langdon" Avery; her daughter Shelia Ann Stancil; and her siblings, Bobby Sherrill Avery, James Avery, Syvanne Williams, Leola Barefoot and Eunice Davis.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Earl Tart; her children, Tommy Ray Stancil (Sharon), Trenna Marie Bowden, Evon Lockamy (Billy Ray) and Rayvon Barefoot Jr.; her grandchildren, David Stancil (Kristen), Bryan Stancil (Ashley), Amanda Stancil, Ryan Weathersbee (Brittany), Shaina Williams (Lynnis), Joshua McArthur, Justin Hawley, Tyler Lockamy, Karlee Lockamy, Crystal Dillion and Christopher Bowden; her great grandchildren, Katie Stancil, Emily Stancil, Carter Weathersbee, Paisley Weathersbee, Everly Weathersbee, Arianna Williams, Dorian Stokes, Braxton Williams, Shaleigh Williams, Aaliyah Barefoot and Ariel Barefoot; and her siblings, Felton Ray Avery, Brenda Turlington (Larry), Betty Blackman (Earl) and Kay Autry (Jerry).
