He is survived by: his children, Ann Judkins of Benson, Linda Gail Smith (Terry) of Benson, Patricia McKethan (Andre) of Benson, Russell Donnell Smith (Linda) of Benson and Richard Smith of Benson; his brothers, Jerry Lee Smith (Hattie) of Benson and Paul Smith of Newburgh, NY; his siblings-in-law, Richard Perry (Mirian) of Raleigh, Roscoe Perry (Sarah) of Coats, Lena Perry of Raleigh and Elizabeth Smith of Benson; and his close friends, Howard Jones and Larry Smith. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
