He was predeceased by: his parents, Yates Harrell and Catherine Harrell; and his siblings, Margaret Mann, Gene Edward Harrell, Marie Millis and Libby Willis.
He is survived by: his wife Regina Harrell; his children, Kelli Harrell Miller (Christopher) of Erwin, NC, Brenda Harrell of Morehead City, NC, James "Jim" F. Harrell Jr. of Georgia and David Ethan Harrell (Tara) of Henderson, NC; his sister-in-law Minnie Harrell of California; and his grandsons, Warner Miller, Jonathan Harrell and Jared Harrell.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Free Will Baptist Church (912 Bridges St, Morehead City, NC 28557). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at the Gethsemane Memorial Park (700 NC-24, Newport, NC 28570).
