We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2021, Elie McCoy Jr. (Erwin, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Rosey McCoy; his children, Janice, McMillan-McCollum (Jerome), La Untrice "Auntie" McMillan, Amy "Buffy" Thompson and Jeffrey "Willie" Hodges; his grandchildren, Anz, Zyra "Zyra" Mitchell, Zion "Tae" McMillan, Olivia Graham, Carenthius Thompson, Todd Hodges, Torin Cates, Nikita King, Malik Griffin, Kyrie Griffin-Hodges and Khalil Griffin-Hodges; his sisters, Brenda Burton, Jackie Thompson, Patricia Taylor (William) and Audrey Urum; and his aunt Kay Blackmon. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Masks are required and practice social distancing. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Cape Fear A Conference Headquarters, 25 Beaver Road, Erwin, with masks required and following the facility's guidelines for entrance, capacity, and social distancing.
