He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oscar and Bertha Norris Warren; his wife Peggy Hawley Warren; his daughter Stephanie Warren Tart; and his brother J. W. Warren.
He is survived by: his daughter Scarlett Warren Godwin (Stan) of Raleigh; his brother W. O. Warren of Erwin; his grandchildren, Casey Godwin, Mason Godwin and Gavin Tart; and his son-in-law James Tart (Rebecca Norris). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
