He was predeceased by: his parents, Burnice Honsby Hall Sr. and Margaret "Maggie" McLamb Hall; and his siblings, Pauline Longshore, Neva Strauch, Chester Hall and Lewis Hall.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ryals Hall; his children, Matthew Hall (Erin) of Apex and Kaycey Vrettos (Athan) of Myrtle Beach; his grandchildren, Ben Hall and Ivy Hall of Apex; his siblings, Larry Hall (Sandra) of Sanford, Bobby Hall Sr. (Janet) and Mary Wilmers of Fayetteville; and his pets, John Wayne and Carolina.
