He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Deal Gibbs and Clay Webster Gibbs of Engelhard, NC.. He is survived by: his sisters, Susie Gibbs Boardwine (Robert), Agnes Gibbs Carawan (Dexter Carawan) of Scranton, NC and Betty Gibbs Riddle of Dunn, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
