She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lee and Margaret Williams Gibbs; her husband Bobby Mayo; her grandson Leo Pastrana; and her brother Norwood Lee Gibbs.
She is survived by: her nephews, Chris Gibbs and Michael Lee Gibbs; her children, Tynia Harris (Mark) of Engelhard, Bruce Mayo (Ann) of Kilkenny and Phillip Mayo (Renee) of Sevierville, TN; her grandchildren, Aaron Harris (Janice) of Engelhard, Jordan Suter (Justin) of Columbia, Maranda Bayliss (Will) of Columbia, RaeLee Mayo of Virginia, Christopher Antonucci of Jacksonville, FL, Maggie Mayo of Sevierville, TN and Destiny Morales of Sevierville, TN; her great grandchildren, Walker Harris, Lydia Harris, Jase Suter, Jarret Suter, Lainey Morales, Lynix Jokoty and Liam Pastrana; her siblings, Tommie Tinker Gibbs (Annette) of Fairfield, Lefty Gibbs (Jane) of Fairfield, Chris Gibbs (Jackie) of Engelhard, Ann G. Tunnell of Swan Quarter, Nancy Jane Webb of Edenton, Nora Hodges (Troy) of Engelhard and Sissie Gibbs of Fairfield; and her sister-in-law Mary Ann Gibbs of Engelhard.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Church of Christ (10314 N Lake Rd, Engelhard, NC 27826). A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 8th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
