He was predeceased by: his parents, Closs Ethan and Sunie Bell Williams Cahoon; his spouse Mira Louise Watson; his granddaughter Anna Carawan; and his siblings, Henry Cahoon, J. B. Cahoon, Iris Dail Williams, Leona Hardison and Mildred Hodges.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Gibbs (Billy) of Engelhard, NC, Wanda Cahoon-Berry (Jeffrey), Twylia K. Cahoon of Fairfield, NC, Gregory M. Cahoon (Renee) of Mountville, SC and John K. Cahoon of Pinetown, NC.; and his grandchildren, Josh, Justin, Jessica, Jeremy, Darien and Scott. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
