It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Brown Grant of Enfield, North Carolina, who passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ruth Brown may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, A. J. Brown and Rae Taylor Brown; and her siblings, Carl Brown and Deloris Tippett. She is survived by: her husband Hayes Grant, Jr.; and her children, Beth Jones, Linda Bozard, Renee Hunter and Steve Powell.
A graveside service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery.
