It is with great sadness that we announce the death of May Holton Sherrod of Enfield, North Carolina, born in Wilmington, North Carolina, who passed away on May 14, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Mary Reed (Watson Sherrod); and her sister Martha Holton Cross. She is survived by: her spouse Watson Newberry Sherrod, Jr. of Enfield; her children, May (Randy Reed) of Shelby, NC, Llewellyn Sherrod (Kevin McBrine) and William (Kathryn Sherrod) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and her grandchildren, Whitaker Reed, Elizabeth Reed, Kate Sherrod and Charlotte Sherrod.
