She was predeceased by: her parents, George Newsome Carlisle and Bertha Gertrude Carlisle; her former husband Jesse O. Taylor; her husband Erby Ray Shealy; and her sisters, Annie Margaret Harrington and Minnie Lee Cooke.
She is survived by: her children, Darnell T. Keeter (Buck) of Enfield and Darrell Taylor (Wendy) of Ringgold, GA; her grandsons, David Keeter (Karen), Jesse Keeter (Michelle), Jason Keeter (Jessica), Darrell Taylor, Jr. (Nicole), Robbie Lewis (Lindsey) and Shawn Lewis (Victoria); her great grandchildren, Zachery, Trey, Landon, Kathryn, Claire, Jocelyn, Violet, Zola, Loki, James, Bishop, Val and Kyler; her siblings, George Carlisle of Princeton and Bertha Dozier (Clifton) of Dunn; her stepdaughter Brenda Shealy of Columbia, SC; and her caregivers, Fran Haines, Louise Dickens and Kristen Harlin. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
