With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Spurgeon Bartholomew of Enfield, North Carolina, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on July 10, 2020 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorsey Battle Bartholomew and Rose Merrick Hurst Bartholomew. He is survived by: his wife Annie Doles Bartholomew; his children, Tim Bartholomew (Teresa) of Rocky Mount, John Joyner, Jr. (Diane) of Beaufort, Kristen Pridgen of Rocky Mount and Pamela Joyner Evans (Steve) of Whitakers; his grandchildren, Josh Evans (Taylor), Lauren Evans, Blake Joyner, Sarah Joyner and Devon Braswell; his sisters, Hazel Strickland and Virginia Bowles; his niece Toni; and his nephew Lawson Bowles.
