He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Brannin Shipp, Sr. and Viola Virginia Cope Shipp; and his daughter April Belinda Shipp Henderson. He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Shipp Velasquez (Travis Burris); his grandchildren, Jessica Belinda Velasquez and Tyler Lee Velasquez; his great grandchildren, Kaitie Belinda Chapman and Caleb Joel Wooten; and his close friend Barbara Burch. He is also survived by many extended family members and good friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery (23 Justice Branch Rd, Enfield, NC 27823).
