It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Royce Cecila Morton of Emerald Isle, North Carolina, born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on September 4, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Griggs and Louise Griggs; and her son Jimmy Morton, II. She is survived by: her husband Roger Morton; her children, Teresa Chapman of Newport, Suzy Morton-Shaffer (Doug) of Clemmons, Donald Keith Chapman of Morehead City, Roy Allan Chapman of Newport and Andy Morton (Cindy) of Wilmington; and her grandchildren, Zach, Kyle, Chase, Cory, Chad, Nicole, Brittny, Jesse, Randi, Rhett, Jamey, Lauren, Lexi, Dylan and Kendal. She is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren.
