It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Gerhart (Emerald Isle, North Carolina), born in Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on May 18, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Joseph and Alberta Cecilia Walz Gerhart; his former wife Marilyn Ann Fox Gerhart; and his son Rick Gerhart. He is survived by: his wife Hettie Cheatham Gerhart; his daughter Beth G. Turner (David) of Emerald Isle; and his grandchildren, Tim, Drew, Crystal, Niles, Caitlin, Andrew and Catherine. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
