With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kelsay Glenn Darst Jr. (Emerald Isle, North Carolina), who passed away on January 3, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Betsy Hobgood; his parents, Kathryne Darst and Kelsey Glendy Darst, Sr.; and his sister Virginia Pope. He is survived by: his wife Faye Darst; his son Michael Old Darst (Keeli) of Seabrook, TX; his stepchildren, Tonya Borders (Patrick) of Duluth, GA and Bill Shirey (Jennifer) of Mechanicsville, VA; his grandchildren, Blake Darst and Molly Darst of Seabrook, TX; and his stepgrandchildren, Lauren Borders of Nashville, TN, Jared Borden of Atlanta, GA, Collin Shirey of Mechanicsville, VA. and Ian Shirey of Mechanicsville, VA..

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cape Carteret Presbyterian Church at 100 Yaupon Drive, Cape Carteret, NC 28584.
